The Lords Ranch Retreat Centre Pune organized an open retreat for the people of Mumbai from the 15th of December to the 18th of December 2011. The theme of the retreat was ”Spirit of Christmas “. Forty Five people in all from different parishes of Mumbai and Vasai young, old, and children reached the Lords Ranch retreat centre on the 15th of December 2011 and were welcomed by Bro. Hilary Da veiga the founder of the retreat center and his wife Adeleyne Da veiga, the welcome was so warm that it took away all our tiredness that we had on our journey reaching 3500 feet above on the mountain where this beautiful place, I should say a Slice of Heaven on the Earth was witnessed by all.
The retreat started with the station of the cross followed by the rosary at the grotto and then once again a formal welcome speech by Br. Hilary who also shared his testimony on how the Lords Ranch Retreat Centre started, Fr. Andrew Jadhav from Vasai then celebrated the Eucharist for all of us. We were all ready then to have dinner which was prepared by Sr. Adeleyne and the staff. The next morning Br. Romeo Fernando and his music ministry took over with a time of praise and worship followed by the word of God, Br. Romeo shared the word of God on power of prayer, inner healing, sacrament of reconciliation, healing and deliverance, the depth of the ten commandments, Holy Spirit, gifts of the Holy spirit, and on the last day we had the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
It was a wonderful moment for all as the anointing of the Holy Spirit touched the hearts and lives of the people as we saw the glow on the faces of many, we would like to thank God for the wonderful encounter on the Ranch, Bro. Romeo for his word of God, Fr. Andrew for the Eucharist, Adison and the Youth of Vasai for their melodious music and joyful songs, Br. Hilary and Sr. Adeleyne for their hospitality.
May God Bless the Lords Ranch is our daily prayer.
